Harvey Signs with Sterling Lord Literistic

Kenneth J. Harvey has signed with renowned New York
agent, Peter Matson, at Sterling Lord Literistic.

Matson is Co-Chairman of the agency. Some of the most successful books he has sold include Dee Brown's Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee and John Irving's The World According to Garp. He is equally proud to represent the books and stories of writers such as V.S. Pritchett, William Trevor and Barry Lopez, to name just a few. Recent successes include The Professor and the Madman by Simon Winchester and Kent Haruf's Plainsong and Eventide.

Matson will represent Harvey's literary fiction in Canada, the US and the UK, starting with Harvey's new novel Reinventing the Rose, which concerns an artist who becomes pregnant, and her gynecologist boyfriend who takes her to court with the intention of forcing her to have an abortion.

Throughout the text, the detailed development of the embryo runs side by side with the story of the battle between man and woman.

Reinventing the Rose has already been bought by Centrepolygraph in Russia.

Harvey will continue to deal with his own foreign agents in all other territories.
